Ready To Sell? Under Contract

By Michael Walkden

You’ve attracted the right buyers and your agent has secured you a fantastic offer. You will need to be available to sign the necessary documentation so your agent can complete the sale with the purchaser in a quick, efficient manner. South Australian property law dictates that all buyers receive a “cooling-off” period of two business days, so it is advantageous to get through that period promptly for peace of mind.

In some cases, buyers will wish to have a building inspection performed during the two-day cooling-off period. This is not unusual. You should continue to stay on top of things around the home to make sure things run smoothly.

To find out tips on how to minimalise disruption during the time a property goes from an offer to under contract we’d be more than happy to assist with a complimentary discussion.
