Mile End, a suburb filled with character homes boasting large blocks and perfectly positioned only a “mile” from the CBD plus with direct access to some of Adelaide’s best metropolitan beaches.
Perhaps given the prime location, developers are keen to see a property be rezoned to enable a six-storey apartment however local residents are pushing back!
According to an article written August 9 by Kurtis Eichler and Eugene Boisvert local Ms Walker believes this style of development “… [would] cause privacy concerns as many houses and yards [will be] overlooked…” she does also go on to say “it would be completely out of character with the surrounding houses…”.
Given the nature of development and taking into consideration the surrounding homes we would love to hear your thoughts on whether you believe a 6 storey development should be permitted when adjoining character homes.
