Previously named New Thebarton, Torrensville, is an inner west Adelaide city fringe suburb where settlement within the area can be dated back as far as the 1840’s.
Torrensville is approximately 2.044 square kilometres (or 204.4 hectares) and is bound by South Rd, the River Torrens, Hardys Rd, Henley Beach Rd, Rankine Rd, Hounslow Ave plus Marion Road. As of the last Census, 2011, the combined population of the area was approximately 3,867 which also had a medium average household income of $1070 per week.
